THOMAS HAYES is owner/co-director of Classical Excursions. He has organized, escorted and guided tours in America and Europe for more than 30 years, working with such organizations as Classical America, for which he was a founding board member; The Victorian Society, Metropolitan (NYC) Chapter; Museum of the City of New York and other museums.
He served as President of Edith Wharton Restoration at The Mount in Lenox, MA and was director of public relations and / or development for such organizations as The National Trust for Historic Preservation, Peabody Institute, Springfield (MA) Library and Museum Association and Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts.
He has lectured extensively, including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, Radcliffe College, Les Vieilles Maisons Francaises (New York Chapter), Cleveland (OH) Botanical Garden and Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires.
He has a degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Cincinnati and did graduate work in history at both Columbia College and New York University.
